Do you offer any treatments to help us look younger?
Fat in our faces is evenly distributed when we’re young, with pockets here and there around our forehead, temples, cheeks, and around our eyes, and mouth. Age causes fat to lose volume, pile up, and shifts downward, so features that were once round sink and skin that was tight and smooth sags. In the meantime, other parts of the face gain fat, particularly the lower half, causing us to look baggy around the chin and jowly around the neck.
Wrinkles, of course, are another thing to consider. Dynamic wrinkles are those deep ones between the eyebrows and on the forehead. The skin is continuously tugged on by facial muscles, eventually leading to creasing. Fat may decrease and move around, causing other folds to get deeper. Wrinkles in the skin are caused by sun damage, smoking, and natural degeneration of the skin’s suppleness and thickness.
In addition to wrinkles and lines on the skin, aging occurs underneath it as well. Every layer of the facial structure shows signs of aging, including collagen, bone, fat, and skin.
Youthful faces are shaped like the triangle of youth. On the bottom, it is light and slightly pointy, the nasolabial folds are moderate, and the top part of the face – the eyes and temples – is full. There are no hollows under the eyes or in the temples. In young people, the face is top-heavy and bottom-light, with defined facial features. Gravity and aging haven’t begun to take their toll yet. It is commonly known as the triangle of youth. The triangle of youth becomes inverted as we age.
As we age, our facial bones change, soft tissues (like muscles) fall, and our skin sags and droops. The fat pads in the face shift downward. “Double chins” are caused by an increase in fat pads beneath the chin, causing fullness between the neck and chin. The pyramid of age is the result of the lower face getting fuller. Each person’s aging process is also unique. Aging is largely determined by genetics.
It is inevitable that our facial appearance will change with age, even if we have great genes and look much younger than we are.
There are some people who prefer to delay embracing those changes because they are not comfortable with them. Surgically removing excess tissue and lifting sagging skin in the lower part of the face is an age-defying face lift. Face lifts have become more natural-looking as technology has improved. A face lift is just one of the more popular cosmetic procedures; aging faces can be altered in a number of ways.
It is very easy for your skin to look older than it really is due to enlarged pores, dark spots, and sun damage. Consider microdermabrasion if your skin has suffered from unevenness or dullness in the past. Blemishes or dark spots can be removed with chemical peels. For sun-damaged areas, intense pulsed light (IPL) is sometimes used instead.
Gravity pulls our tissues downward, so it’s not uncommon for the tissues just below the jaw to feel loose. A bulky area is exacerbated by fatty deposits found in the region. Non-surgical techniques can be used to tighten the skin and erase fatty tissue in some types of neck droopiness.
As we age, our noses grow both outward and downward. It is relatively easy to reshape your nose so that it looks more youthful and harmonizes with your facial features.
The older we get, the thinner and less full our lips become. It is possible to create the illusion of fullness by adding volume to lip tissues or even by lifting the border of the lip up.
